Our location is a tremendous asset
The proximity of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Rollins School of Public Health facilitates the flow of resources and ideas that helps keep both institutions intrinsically linked. The Rollins School of Public Health sends the latest scientific discoveries as well as interns and newly trained graduates to the CDC, and CDC practitioners bring their expertise to Rollins classrooms. In all, CDC experts account for nearly half of Rollins' 350 adjunct faculty members.
Every year the Atlanta area becomes a more vibrant and extraordinarily relevant nexus for public health. From the Rollins School of Public Health's multi-building complex, you can look out the window and see the national headquarters of the CDC, or take a short drive (or bus ride) to find the Carter Center, the Task Force for Child Survival and Development, the American Cancer Society, the Georgia Department of Public Health, CARE USA, Morehouse School of Medicine... AND MORE. We don't believe that a better environment exists in which to begin or advance a public health career. And you'll find all of this in a city that also offers quality of life, diversity, arts, culture, and sports.
