The Department of Epidemiology provides outstanding and unique opportunities for education and research.
Our faculty share a broad interest in a wide range of epidemiologic topics including: cancer, reproductive, pediatric and perinatal epidemiology, infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, renal diseases, HIV/AIDS, health and disease in correctional systems, nutrition, genetic and molecular epidemiology, social epidemiology, and public health preparedness.
Our department’s research includes fieldwork in and out of the United States as well as long-term follow-up of groups here and abroad.
