Jobs
Graduates of our program find employment abroad with international and bilateral agencies, government departments, nongovernmental organizations, and research and academic institutions. Many also work with U.S.-based organizations concerned with global issues. In addition, many graduates find opportunities in the domestic sector in a variety of settings, demonstrating that the knowledge and skills learned in the department are widely applicable. Some graduates go into clinical fields and others go on to pursue a doctoral degree.
MPH Curriculum & Degree Requirements
Completion of the MPH in Global Health requires forty-two semester hours of coursework. Full-time students complete these requirements in two years. Students are required to take RSPH/GH core courses as shown below. In addition, a four credit hour thesis project Integrated Learning Experience (ILE) must be completed. The ILE Capstone provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate skills acquired in prior coursework through the capstone through the submission of an individually created deliverable in response to a global health challenge or opportunity.

Culminating Experiences
3-Semester: 15-month or 12-month MPH in Global
The MPH in Global Health can also be taken in a 3-Semester format, either 15-months (Fall, Spring, & Fall) or 12-months (Fall, Spring, & Summer).

As of Fall 2022, the submission of GRE scores are optional for all candidates applying to MPH and MSPH programs. We do not have specific GPA or GRE requirements for admission. If you choose to submit test scores, they cannot be more than five years old. Please Note: International applicants from non-English-speaking countries must meet the RSPH standards for English language competency.
In addition, we seek students who are passionate about global health and wish to improve the health of their local and global communities. Our students have demonstrated this commitment through careers, service, or training in advancing global health. This might include working with underserved communities or within a local state or regional public health entity (either domestically or internationally), volunteer or mission experience, or service with Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, etc.
