The Rollins School of Public Health Dean’s Pilot and Innovation Grant Program is designed to create opportunities for Rollins early-career faculty (assistant professors – all tracks) to obtain preliminary data and to build collaborations that can be rapidly leveraged toward the development of newly funded extramural research projects. This program encourages applicants to collaborate with established faculty, so strong mentorships can be developed to support the success of early-career faculty. The projects supported must be new, highly innovative, currently unfunded and unpublished, and designed in a way that it has the potential to lead to an application for a larger extramural grant within 2 years following the award.
The Executive Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Research Strategy has committed $200,000 each year to this program, and pilot award can be up to $50,000. Pilots will begin on September 1, 2024, and have a strict budget period of 2 years.
